Although she does not really relish being called a cleaner, she does not mind the work and she actually says she finds it quite therapeutic in a way. The best thing about her job, however, is that now she has actually got some money and can afford to go out and have the occasional treat which she could not do before. Last week for instance, she got home late and the children were tired and hungry just like she was. Instead of having to don her apron and begin cooking she ordered them all a huge takeaway and they sat and enjoyed it whilst watching television. She told me that this sort of thing really made a difference to her life and I totally understand why.
